31 Mar SACI Studio Arts College Int.
A U.S.-accredited art school, SACI offers graduate and undergraduate programs in traditional and contemporary studio arts, design, conservation, art history, and Italian language and culture. Emphasizing direct, hands-on experience through on-site work and travel, SACI programs immerse students in the vibrant and historic art community of Florence and highlight the essential role of art and design in how we shape and sustain our planet both socially and environmentally.
SACI’s two Renaissance palazzi, the Palazzo dei Cartelloni and the Jules Maidoff Palazzo for the Visual Arts, include gallery spaces; studios and classrooms; lecture halls; photography darkrooms; art conservation laboratories; computer and video workrooms; a fresco painting studio; offices, and traditional Italian gardens. The spacious and light-filled interiors feature painted ceilings, frescoed walls, and marble floors.
SACI’s three gallery spaces in Florence and New York serve as focal points of contemporary art, featuring art and design works by SACI students, alumni, and faculty, as well as emerging and established international artists and designers. SACI’s two Florence galleries, the SACI Gallery in SACI’s Palazzo dei Cartelloni and the Jules Maidoff Gallery in the Jules Maidoff Palazzo for the Visual Arts, feature professional exhibitions in all media and play a key role in Florence’s cultural world.
SACI’s institutional collaborations connect students with some of Italy’s most renowned museums, breaking down boundaries between art, design, fashion, anthropology, science, and history.
