What we do

Venture “fuori dalle mura”, beyond the city walls, and enjoy breakfast with Camila, Italian-style, in a renowned pastry shop. Then get creative in a working factory with more than 100 years of hat making tradition. Discover the story behind hat making in Florence and be guided by a fourth generation milliner to create your own custom straw hat. You will have the opportunity to walk around the factory to see, touch and try any hat you’ll see around! You’ll get inspire and fascinated in the warehouse! Get ready for a magical immersion into the hats florentine world!

From Arcipressi we’ll walk 10 minutes to Giorgio’s and then we’ll take a taxi to Memar’s. At the end we’ll go back to the tram stop.
Straw hat (valued up to 300+ euro)
One typical Florentine straw hat base, like the ones Memar produces for high fashion brands, and materials to customise it.

Let me show you around my neighbourhood, Soffiano. We’ll have breakfast at Giorgio’s pastry shop, a favourite among locals. Then we’ll meet Sara for a hands on hat making time at Memar, a historical Italian design manufacturer of hats and bags for Luxury brands and even featured in Hollywood films!
